The ill Grass root transport system.

Ghana's major transport system is the road. Over 70% of Ghana's citizens travel by the road each day but do the transport system have good roads? Travelling across the Eastern region, one of the food hub of the country's backbones,It appears that most of her roads are sick. The roads need urgent attention and construction. In the Krobo state, most villages are disconnected due to bad road networks. The vehicles that help in carrying farm produce from vilages do not want to go there since the road networks are bad. I spoke and spotted areas from Ooersika through to Sutri etc.where farmers have to carry weights of farm produce such as Cassava,maize etc.to a road that's a bit OK that sees vehicles come through to load them to the market square, Klo-Agogo. The roads have developed deep trenches and and are eroded off with deep potholes making drivers charge a lot before assessing such areas. Drivers complain that, the menace is disturbing ams they need government's at...

Why the Grassroot?

Have you been wondering how people live in the grassroots? Do you know who I refer to as a grassroot fellow? The unveiling realities in the rural part of Ghana are what we have to be seeing and hearing. We live this people behind and dress the city 'drainage systems' more than the village folks who experience harsh living conditions till they pass on to eternity. Have they got their fair share in the developmental projects too?
